Heavy Weight Clothing Pty Ltd / MAN–TLE is looking for an experienced Retail Manager to operate our new store in Fitzroy.
This full-time position commences in March, 2026 and will involve up to 1 month of onboarding / training at our flagship location in Perth.

As Retail Manager, you will:

• Oversee key day-to-day operations of our first permanent retail location in Victoria.
• Manage and support local staff, including rostering and training responsibilities. 
• Produce consistent operational, sales, and inventory reports maintaining clear lines of communication with our head office in WA.
• Maintain impeccable organisation and presentation of the store and its stock.
• Develop and nurture customer relationships through attentive, personalised service.
• Study and be confident in the make-up of our products and processes.
• Communicate confidently and clearly with customers of all ages.
• Commit to the role as a long term position with the intention to be an integral part of the brand’s growth.
• Participate in regular interstate and occasional international trips to support key projects and professional development.
  

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 5 years in retail management (ideally within an aligned environment that values precision, strong product knowledge, and exceptional customer care)
• Experience in managing a small team and inter-store inventory.
• A willingness to learn new skills and operate efficiently in a growing team. 
• The ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and assume full responsibility for your work.
• Familiarity with Shopify and Microsoft 365 will be considered favourable.
• Excellent customer service skills across both written and verbal interactions with a natural ability to build rapport and represent the brand.

As Retail Assistant, you will:

• Provide exceptional, personalised service to every customer.
• Maintain an impeccably-presented store, ensuring merchandise and displays are in keeping with the brand’s standards.
• Support day-to-day operations, including stock management, replenishment, and assisting with events or product launches.
• Learn about our products, processes, and brand story to confidently guide and inform customers.
• Work flexibly across weekends, public holidays, and special store events.

• Have an established background in retail or customer service experience (ideally within an aligned environment that values precision, strong product knowledge, and exceptional customer care.)
• Can communicate clearly, warmly, and professionally with customers and colleagues.
