Master Shield cloth originally developed for the British Air Force in 19th century and later approved for Japanese production and supply to Japanese defence force and coast guard. Using 100% Giza cotton from Egypt, a super fine thread is woven at a maximum density. When exposed to water, the fibres expand, making it impervious to rain. The use of no coatings or finishings results in a fabric that when dry, allows sweat and water vapour to escape easily.
